Combined with the idea that there is a close correspondence between the human being (the microcosm) and the Universe (the macrocosm), this approach makes that this system can be perfectly adapted to the western mentality and sense of personal freedom, without losing any of its efficiency and power. This brings a great simplicity, an unrivalled efficiency and the possibility for every human being who practices this system daily to validate its efficiency through personal experience. |
3. FINLANDNATHA Finland NATHA Finland was founded in 1996 by Bogdan Mahalayananda from the NATHA school of Copenhagen. It has gradually increased it's number of both students and activities. Presently there are 5 teachers whereof 4 teach in Finnish. There is presently teaching on 4 different levels with new classes starting every ½ year. NATHA is a Yoga and Tantra school dedicated to the teaching of classical Yoga and Tantra in their original forms. In this teaching there is an equal emphasis upon doing and understanding both the technique and the philosophy behind. This is why a very comprehensive theory is a natural element in this teaching. The teaching of NATHA contains the classical Hatha Yoga and Raja Yoga of Patanjali (Astanga Yoga), Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Laya Yoga, Mahavidya Yoga, Swara Yoga, Kashmir Shivaism, Tibetan and Northern Indian Tantrism, esoteric astrology and Ayurvedic medicine. In the spirit of the classical Tantric schools this teaching is for everybody no matter sex, race, caste, social background etc. Also no yogic background what so ever is required for starting this training. The pedagogics of the teaching is formed so that everybody can follow it, beginning with the basics and gradually becoming more advanced. The only two requirements are the wish to learn and a bit of patience with oneself, though results are usually attained very quickly. Address: NATHA Fredrikinkatu 34 A 1, 00100 Helsinki. 5. HOLLANDAmsterdam Yoga teacher: Rodica Harabagiu Tantra emerges the ancient lode of the Indian spiritual tradition, a foundation deeply connected to universal philosophies. Much has been written and discussed regarding these studies, but due to their profoundness and hidden symbolism they remain opaque. A secret throughout the centuries, Tantra remains diffuse, mysterious and puzzling yet constantly present in the diversity of yoga techniques, especially in its Tibetan forms. With purposeful investigation, it presents a genuine science of man where cosmic forces mingle with physiology, psychology, magic and spiritualism. Tantra offers a practical, multi-leveled vision of the human being, a unified theory that explains the most intimate aspects of man's behavior which have evaded current research. A detailed, sincere study and practice of Tantra would contribute to the enrichment of contemporary science and psychology in a manner not yet conceived.
